The
MIR 3 Year Service Plan
As the countries leading Brass and Woodwind repair company, we are keen
to stress the importance of keeping your instrument in good condition.
Day to day maintenance is essential, but even the most treasured
and well kept instrument still needs regular servicing. These
costs can run from between £45
to £80 plus vat on a yearly basis, and though expensive, is necessary
to ensure your instrument continues to perform as you progress as a player.
When you purchase selected Brass and Woodwind instruments from MIR, we
will include, free of charge, the ‘MIR Service Plan’.
This plan covers the annual servicing costs of your new instrument
for 3 years (3 full services including parts and labour. 1st
at 12 months, 2nd at 24 months and 3rd at 36 months)
Alternatively, instead of the final service, you can take advantage
of our ‘One
Third Back’ in part exchange offer. This offer entitles you to a third
of the original purchase cost of your instrument back in part exchange when
upgrading to a higher priced instrument. Subject to the instrument being
complete, free from major damage and original accessories in working order.
This does not include reeds and other consumables.

Please note: We are more than happy to match our Internet prices in store, but any brand new instrument purchased at these prices will not be covered by the MIR service plan. This does not apply to the prices of the items featured on our reconditioned pages.
Terms and Conditions
•Services include labour & parts such as pads, felts and corks. Parts
such as screws, keys and slides are not covered.
•Accidental or malicious damage e.g. dents, bent keys or missing parts
are not covered by this service plan.
•Cosmetic finishes are exempt from cover under this plan.
•Consumable parts such as reeds and mouthpieces are also exempt from
this plan.
•This service plan covers the instrument alone and repairs to accessories
and/or instrument cases will not be carried out free of charge.
•You will be notified either by post or via email when your annual
service is due. Your free service must be claimed
within 3 months of this date.
Any service which has not been claimed within the 3 months will render the
remaining period and offers covered by this service plan void.
•This cover plan is not an extended warranty or guarantee.
•All work carried out during a free service by MIR under this plan
is covered by a three month guarantee.
•All repairs and services are to be undertaken by MIR (unless agreed
otherwise by an authorised employee of MIR and Sales Ltd). Any work carried
out by an unauthorised third party will void this agreement.
•Instruments taken on the MIR Rental agreement will not be covered
by this service plan.
•If you are unable to return your instrument to the shop for its annual
service we can arrange for it to be collected from your home or place of
work and returned back to you once the service is complete. A charge
of £15 including vat will be made.
